Wrong 1099 Help

Hello my company has individual contractors, we send them 1099 forms at the end of the year for commissions we paid to them. After the 1099 forms were sent some of them were incorrect, I sent in the corrections to the accountant and he sent in revised 1099's to the IRS. I recieved an audit letter today from the Department of Labor wanting all cancelled checks, bank statements, etc. Upon pulling up all information I noticed one 1099 is still wrong! Obviously the due date has passed, what can I do in this situation? Can I refile the 1099 although the date has passed? Should I leave it alone until 2009's 1099? The auditor will see the check on the ledger, the amount is off by $3,200.00 Thank you for the help...
