Smile LLC's and Partnerships extended Tax due date

Is it correct that the LLC and Partnership extended due date for the return in 2009 has change to Sept. 15 ???

Yes, unfortunately the IRS has sided with the AICPA who expressed a desire to make Sept 15 as the extended due date for Partnership tax filings. Accordingly, the IRS has now required that the "Extension Due Date for most of 2008 Partnership Tax Returns is September 15, 2009."

Only a 5-month extension is available for 2008 partnership returns filed in 2009. You can also see "2008 Form 1065 instructions on page 4 "When to File".
