Question 1040A Line 38

I filed my taxes this year before I figured out that I had to have form 1095. Now I have to send another form and redo page 2 of my 1040a I have everything ready but am now stuck in what to enter on line 38. I have been refered to form 8965 and get to step 4 line 6 of the worksheets and it says stop you are not liable for a Shared Responsibility Payment. I still don't know what to do with line 38 on the 1040A so I can continue and resubmit my tax forms. According to the letter I am not allowed to file a 1040x or amended return.
Please help I am expecting a large return that is supposed to help get my car back on the road.

Thank you,
Anneka

YOU NEED TO CHECK FULL COVERAGE.ON 1040A LINE 38. Form 8965 is used to report any exemptions you may have to waive the penalty.

No full coverage

Thank you so much for your reply.... The problem here is I didn't keep coverage. I keep it for one month and couldn't work the extra cost into my tight budget. So I have one month of coverage only the rest of the year is no coverage.

then do not check full coverage box? As you are not covered for at least 9 months, you will have to pay a tax ?penalty? unless yu qualify for an exemption. You need the 8965 exemptions form only when you qualify for some exemptionsThere are about 20 different exemptions including hardship exemptions. Some exemptions require documentation, some don?t.
