What Qualifies for Federal Student Loan Consolidation?

Federal loan consolidation can include the following types of student loans as follows;

1. Federal Stafford Loan consolidation,

2. PLUS Loan consolidation,

3. Direct Loan consolidation

4. Perkins Loans,

5. HEAL Loans,

6. Federal FFELP,

7. Direct Loans taken to pay for your education.

Unfortunately, "Private student loan consolidations" are different and typically a Student would lose their federal loan benefits if they choose to consolidate their federal loans into a private loan consolidation.
