Is purchasing a Split Dollar Life Insurance policy a good idea for my business?

I know this is not a tax question, but it is related to my business tax planning.

Would you recommend a "Split Dollar Life Insuarance" for my business? I have been asked by my financial planner that I purchase this product for my closely held corporation. Does it make sense to own one??

Any thoughts would be most welcome...!
