yes your earned income is the maount reported on Sch SE line2 or 3. The amount on line 2 is the amount transferred from Sch C line 29 / 31.

Self-employment incomeInclude any self-employment income where you were required to pay self-employment taxes. The EIC requires you to reduce your self-employment income by 1/2 of your self-employment tax bill

FWIW: I found the answer somewhere else...The real answer is line 2...You take that number, and go to chart, find ur credit corresponding to # of children, or no child, and use that # in line 66a. This is not a very good site if you're spreading bad information, Mr Mod.

Oh yes everybody knows that; SECA tax is REPORTED on 1040 line 57 and also SECA tax is reported on 1040 line 27; The amount on line 6 of Sch SE equals the amount you can deduct on 1040 line 27, got that?? What I am sayin’ is that earned income for self employer is Net earnings from self-employment reported on Sch C 29 / or 31 and is transferred Sch SE line 2/ 3. Hope ot helps bud.

ps; i am not here to spread bad info ok?? pleae watch your language~~
