Question fraudulent misc-1099 from ex husband

I am going through a divorce from May of last year and we've lived separate since June (Judge ordered). He pays me alimony and I collect the rental rent income since June. The total of these two he has paid me was $10,800. I have also supported our adult son 100% since he graduated in June. He sent me a misc-1099 for $15,886 from his name to mine and copy A is gone, which I assume he sent that to the IRS. In no way has he paid me that much. How do I dispute this? I really am confused about what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
