How are beneficiaries of a Simple Trust Taxed?

Would you kindly explain how a beneficiary of a Simple Trust will be taxed?

For your information, I am a beneficiary of a trust and was informed that the trust has some taxable income, and I was wondering if I did not receive any distribution, I would not be have to pay taxes, am I right?

Thanks a lot...
