I should file single or MFj or mfs

I need to know if I should file single or MFj or mfs. My wife and I plan on getting a divorce this year. She is not a citizen or resident of this country and lives in the country she is from. No SSN or ITN. I know I should file MFJ and fill out a w-7 for her to get an ITN number. Only problem is she hates me and will not go to the embassy so that her passport can be certified by them. On the website it says that they only accept certified and original documents. Should I just file single because I have no clue what to do. Please help

The Department of State maintains records related to American citizens who are born or die abroad, but there is no organization or department in the United States that tracks marriages involving U.S. citizens that take place outside the U.S.
