Can I receive my social security benefits overseas?

I am planning on traveling overseas to the United Kingdom for about 1 year. I was wondering if it was possible to receive my social security benefits in the UK?

Can you perhaps kindly provide me with some information on this matter. Most appreciated...!

Actually, you can receive your Social Security benefits in the U.K. and these benefits may be payable in almost any country outside the USA.

As a matter of fact, these benefits can be very easily paid directly into your bank account at whatever bank or building society in the U.K. or the USA.

The SSA office has generally recommended that these payments be paid directly into your bank accounts as this method is both safer, more reliable and much faster than the having these payments mailed to you overseas.

If you seek more information, please visit the website Social Security Online or visit your SSA office and obtain Publication 05-10137 that is titled "Your payments while you are outside the the United States of America"!
