Salvation army donations

Guys

Every year, I donate about 3 bags and value them at $200. This year, I have 11 bags valued at about $1000 using the salvation army valuation guide at The Salvation Army: Donation Receipts - Valuation Guide

I'm just a little fearful of setting off a red flag on IRS computers about this. I just have a ton of stuff to get rid off this year before moving to a smaller place.

If there's a chance of a problem, I can rather just take these goods to a thrift shop and hopefully will be able to get $300 out of that which is what I'll save with a $1000 tax deduction

Also, can someone tell me if both salvation army donations and charitable contributions to a religious place are totaled up into the same number on the 1040?

Thanks
