Paper filing of multiple state taxes - Which state to get W2s

Hi,

I have income from Massachusetts and Iowa and I am paper filing my taxes and worked two to separate companies. So, my gross income would be a sum of wages on the W2s from two different companies.

When I filed my MA tax, I sent only MA W2 which did not have to gross income which I had earned. Only amount earned in MA. Have I made a mistake there?
If so, I do not have another extra W2 except for my copy from IA. Do I make a copy and send it to MA revenue dept if asked for or do I send the original and keep the copy with me? If I get a notice, how should I handle it?

I need to file my Iowa tax still. I have one IA state W2 for Iowa. Do I make a copy of the remaining MA W2 form and send it along with the other forms? Or do I keep the copy and send the original?

All advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
