PA company address but work in NY

I received my 1099-Misc and the company I consult for changed my address to New York. My company address is registered in PA and for the past two years box 17 on my 1099 indicated PA.

Today my employer revised the business address to accurately reflect the PA address however box 17 still stays NY.

The company does not withhold any federal or state taxes. I am concerned with the discrepant business address (PA) and box 17 (NY). I understand I am obligated to pay NY state tax. My employer is not willing to change the state to PA even though it has been that way for two years.

Am I producing red flags by having a business address in PA but box 17 in NY? I would prefer to having everything reported to PA and then allocate the appropriate money to NY.
