form 1099-a after bankruptcy

We usually do our taxes online with tax software.

this year we received a form 1099-a Aquistion or Abandonment of Secured Property.
We filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and got our Discharge of Debtors 11/24/08.

Form 1099-A:
Box 1: date of lenders acquistion 1/7/10
Box 2: Balance of Principal $41,184.25
Box 4: Fair Market Value $12,000.
Box 5: Was borrower liabel Yes

This property was a rental.

How & where do we file this on our return?

Are we responsible for the difference?

I don't know where to turn.
