Multi-State W2 (For 2 different jobs)

I live in NY. I was a resident of NY for the entirety of 2010. I began 2010 working for a company in CT. Midway through the year, I switched jobs, to work in NJ. Again, the whole time, I was a resident of the state of NY.

Each of these 2 jobs (CT/NJ) gave me the appropriate W2 forms. But I am confused by box #15.

My job in CT lists the state as "CT", (my EMPLOYER'S STATE).

My job in NJ lists the state as "NY", (my STATE OF RESIDENCE).

Clearly ONE of these companies is wrong. I contacted the appropriate departments of both and they each say that the other made a mistake.

Which state is wrong? What will happen if I file my taxes exactly as is, without any corrections? (Will I wind up paying more/less or being penalized for their mistakes?)

Thanks in advance for shedding some light on the issue--it's my first attempt at filing taxes on my own and I feel like I'm in the dark on a few things...
