Question Scrap Metal income

I have income for the 2009 tax year from scrap metal salvage. I do not have any W-2 or 1099 reflecting this as I sold the metal that I got directly to the scrap yard. I do have receipts for all the income I made during the year and my yearly total of income. I normally receive EIC so I do want to file my taxes, how do i do this without a w-2 or 1099. Do I have to copy all my receipts from the entire year and send them in? Is scrap metal considered a self employed profession? Thank you for your help.
