Foreign Earned Income Question

Hello, I and some coworkers are having arguments as to when your time starts to accumulate in the US. The question is does the day count if you arrive in the US after midnight or does the day begin at midnight ex; I leave UAE @ 0010hrs on the 26th of June I arrive in the US @ 0630hrs on the 26th of June does this day count or does my time in the US start at midnight on the 27th. Also at what point do the days stop counting against your time in the US ex; I leave the US @ 2230hrs on the 4th of July and land in UAE on the 5th of July @ 1930hrs, from what I have read since I would have been airborn and crossed over a foreign nation prior to midnight then the 5th of July would count toward my 330 days out of the US is this correct. Please help in clarifying this situation. Thanks.
