Refund not received question

Hello,

After filing my 2015 taxes, it came to my attention that I may have not received my refund for the prior year. I need suggestions or advice for this mistake.

On the form where you indicate routing and account number for direct deposit, I found that only the routing number was entered (and in the account number section for that matter). My tax specialist told me it probably was mailed to me.

I verified my banking history in both of my account accounts and did not find a deposit of the refund amount from my 2014 filing.

Are there any suggestions as to what the next best course of action is? Could this potentially be fraud?

Most importantly, is it still possible to acquire those funds if I gather compelling evidence and take it to my tax specialist or IRS?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Ivan
