Will IRS have any issues with my tax return if I choose Lifetime Learning Credit instead of Tuition and Fees Deduction and pay more taxes?

With Tuition and Fees Deduction I would pay about $500 less in taxes, but with Lifetime learning Credit, my income is higher which I prefer because I can qualify for obamacare assistance instead of medicaid.
