What to do with multi-states.

So I live in and am a current resident of WV now and I am a contractor for my current employer who resides in CA. I want to move to a FTE, the only issue is that HR will only allow employees to live in CA, WA, OR, IL, and AZ. Can I just get a PO box in one of those five states and then just give HR that PO box address? Would I then have to file a state income tax return for whichever state the PO box is in? Would I still have to pay WV state income tax? Would I have to change my residency from WV to whichever state the PO box is in?
