Question Treasury Off-Set Program and Defaulted Student Loans???

So, for the past several years, my husband and I have received a reduced refund amount due to my defaulted student loans.

I have just arranged an amazing settlement agreement with my collection company and will be wiring out the funds for a full settlement tomorrow afternoon. We are expecting a large refund this year and will not be filing that until we know for sure that our refund will not be offset.

Does anyone know how long it takes the Treasury Department to update their records so that all departments and offices involved know when my account is paid in full and no longer qualifies under the TOP? I have tried calling the Treasury Dept and the Dept of Education, but no one can seem to tell me a timeframe...

Thanks in advance!
