Deduct tuition after 4 years of American Opportunity

For my dependent daughter, I have already claimed the American Opportunity credit 4 times, and I know I can't claim it for 2014. However, I did pay tuition for 2014. I thought I could deduct at least some of the tuition even though I am not itemizing.
