How do you pay tax on a temporary foriegner

Hello:

Thank you for having this forum and for allowing me on this forum!

I have been in the construction business for 45 years in Los Angeles and I need a little help.

An immigrant is in this country legally and she married a friend of mine. She does not have a social security number. She is a website developer and I paid her about $12,000 for working on my website and she helped to answer my phones and do other tasks. I prefer to run her expenses through by books and I want to pay the IRS, EDD, etc., worker's comp, etc. the money they have coming.

There must be some way that immigrants without SSN's pay their taxes i.e. artists and sport's players, etc. How do people who accidentally earn money in this country pay taxes without a SSN.

Thank you very much.

It's a myth that illegal immigrants don't pay taxes; while the IRS does not have an estimate of how many illegal immigrants pay income tax, it has been issuing ITINs to foreigners without a SSN# since 1996 so by using her itin, she/ other undocumented illegal residents can pay tax to the irs/state; however, in this particular case, she is a us resident, not an illegal alien, as she married a us citizen, your friend, and can file return as us resident.aslongasd she is still married on the last day of the year, then she can file MFJ and take advantage of the small but helpful tax breaks given to married couples
