CA residency but RI work/state tax? Thanks!!

Hi! I have California residency but work full-time, year-round in Rhode Island. On my W-2 form which I received, my address is in California, but my state listed as RI (with a corresponding state income tax for RI). How should I approach this so that I do not lose my California residency, which is very important to me? In particular, what order would I need to file non-resident and resident state tax, especially if I didn't receive any info about my withheld resident (CA) state tax? Thank you!
