which way will I benefit more from?

I would like to know which way is better for me to file. I am not divorced yet, having been going through it for 3 years so far. Which way is it better for me to file, single or jointly? We have 3 kids one of which is 17 and has her on job, I make less than $10,000 a year and he make about $80,000 a year plus we sold our martial house last year but all the money we got from the sale went directly to my mother because she had a lawsuit against us because she lived in the house and put money into the house. Please help!
