Estate settlement question re Stock sales

Am Executor of father's estate I cashed out stock worth $6600. What is tax impact to estate for reporting on Form 1041...Stock has increased in value since it was initially received 20 or so years ago. I received a form 1099-B from company for the redeemed value. I did not report any of the value of this stock in decedent's last tax return. Is the difference between purchase value and redeemed value income to the estate and if so , where do I report it on the Form 1041
