Mortgage Interest Deduction on a US Property while living abroad

Hi – I am a US citizen currently living in the State, but would be moving to a foreign country to pursue a job opportunity within the next few months. I currently own a townhome in the US and pay mortgage dues on that. I am aware that I will have to file a return in the US while I am abroad, but was wondering if I can continue to claim mortgage interest deduction.

Would appreciate a response
