Advice needed for filling 1040x to amend non-resident status

Hi,

As this is my first time filing taxes, i used an online portal to file my federal taxes which filed the form 1040a(resident) instead of 1040nr-ez(non-resident alien). Also, turbotax took into consideration details from my 1098t form and applied $2000.00 deduction on my federal returns. I would, hereby, like to submit 1040x form along with an amended 1040nr-ez form which shows my actual non-resident alien status and corrects the inapplicable education fees deduction of $2000.00 applied on my 1040a form.

The irs instructions for 1040x to correct immigration status mentions to fill the basic information at the top of 1040x form and fill part 3(explanation) and then attach this 1040x with amended 1040nr form.

I would like to know how to correct that $2000.00 deduction applied by entering 1098t form.
