1031 exchange

Am I able to 1031 rental properties that I have owned less than a year or would I have to pay capital gains tax on those?

Thanks

I guess you need to pay CG tax on the gain There is no statutorily defined holding period for 1031 exchanges. A taxpayer must own the property long enough to establish held-for-investment-intent. A generally accepted industry practice is 1 year and 1 day.
