| Does a Energy Star Logo on my new appliance qualify for an energy saving tax credit?
Unfortunately, the Energy Star logo on your new appliance indicates a tax credit for the products' manufacturer, and not for you.
However, if you iinstalled a qualifying heating or cooling system, you may get a tax credit. But, the tax credit has not been been updated to apply for Tax Year 2008.
We shall have to wait and see if this tax credit applies to future years. As of this moment, I am not aware of whether the 2008 tax year has continued this credit. As soon as I become aware of this credit, I will update this post! |
