New job started last year with only expenses - no income

I just recently started selling insurance in my spare time. I spent December getting my license. During that time, I racked up about $400.00 in expense but I had no sales in this new job. All the while, I also work full-time in a Pharmacy. My question is do I need to file separate taxes for my pharmacy gig and for this insurance business or can I just lump them all together since I have no income from the insurance job?
