| For self-employed taxpayers, can we deduct commuting miles to business location?
I am self-employed sole proprietor owning a store 20 miles from my home, my mileage includes daily commuting of 40 miles. Sometimes I travel to vendors to purchase inventory, supplies etc. I have heard that commuting is not deductible in general for taxpayers, but is this true in my case, as I am have my own business.
