I should think so, at least it has the appearance of a business expense connected to your business, that is, writing about restaurants.

I would claim these meal expenses on the business tax returns, however, you should be aware that they are only 50% deductible on the tax return. The IRS generally disallows 50% of all meals and entertainment expenses.
