Question related to claiming dependents?

I moved in with my mother in November 2016 , I'm 24 years old. I have been off work since then due to a very complicated pregnancy. I gave birth to my daughter in May. I am currently receiving TANF because the father is not in the picture, I have nobody to watch my daughter and my brand new car was repossessed when the drs took me off from work. The bank only let me defer two payments and with me unable to work they took it. So with that background information, can my mother claim me as a dependent and my daughter? And will she get the "birth of a child" bonus or whatever its called? She helped us out when we needed her and I think she deserves to be able to claim us because she did take care of us. But what does the law say? The laws are always different from what we think is right.....
