Question PTIN Information...

Hi my name is Miss P and I am a tax professional who's ptin number was stolen for the 2014 tax year and used to file return. I was told by a compliance officer that I wouldn't have to obtain a new number but this person still has access to my PTIN info right so how can I get another one a different one because I did file a complaint and they have it on file because the compliance officer called me and told me they received it? What can I do ? If anything?

There is no other solution I guess you need to keep on contacting them for final solution.
ONLY in case where you obtained a PTIN years ago, you need to refresh / renew your PTIN online or by filing Form W-12. The IRS will compare the information on the application to the information they have on record. If it matches, you will be assigned your current PTIN. If not, you may be issued a new PTIN. If this is the case, you must use the newly issued PTIN and not your old one.
