How many years do I have to depreciate my Residential Rental Property?

Here are the IRS Tax rules for depreciating Real Estate Property.

For Residential Rental Property -Real Estate
Residential Property are depreciated over 27½ year life in the year placed in service.

For Non-Residential Property - Real Estate
Non-Residential Property would include any one of the following, offices, commercial space or warehouses. These properties are depreciated over 39 years in the year placed in service.
