Mortgage Interest Deductions - Married Filing Separate

Generally speaking there should not be any problems as the Spouse is making the mortgage deductions.

I would also a attach a note stating that you have given consent to your spouse to claim 100% of the mortgage interest on her tax return.

But, please be aware of the negative consequences of filing married filing separate on the tax return. At times the impact may have more negative consequences than desired.
