Should one claim an office at home if it triggers an IRS Audit?

Are you suggesting that we should not claim office at home expense's as it will always trigger an IRS Audit despite having a legitamate reason to do so??

I have an outside sales job for which I maintain a room in my house solely for the Business of making client sales calls from my home. I also keep my records and files in my small room in the basement that I have dedicated for my office at home.

I am really having 2nd thoughts about claiming an office at home now! Should I be concerned, my room is about 250 sq ft out of a total 3,500 sp ft home???

I eagerly lookforward to hearing your opinion

Thanks a lot!
